The Manager IT Front/Packages/Data contributes to the success of all Athora lines of business (retail life, corporate life, sales, marketing, finance, ...) by organizing and following up the delivery of the IT component of projects, with a mixed internal and external team, in line with Athora Belgium's general IT strategy. He also maintains a constructive relationship with the corresponding operational and strategic (change) business services.

Your responsibilities
As Manager IT Front/Package/Data, your responsibilities will include :
- Supervising the life cycle of applications (introduction of new technology, maintaining and phasing out old ones) and components under the responsibility of your department, ensuring maintainability and operations on the long term.
- Managing the delivery of new applications and changes to existing ones over a diversified project portfolio (change projects, business as usual projects), ensuring that each project is conducted from A to Z by your team in full agreement with the applicable project governance.
- Ensuring that IT operations (jobs, incident management, etc.) for your applications are correctly carried out, striving for stability in production.
- Managing a team of internal collaborators. You will maintain and increase motivation and knowledge within the team in the interests of long-term service.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of IT processes.
- Being permanent contact with the operational and strategic business teams using the applications/components under your responsibility. Together with the business managers, you will identify points for improvement, contribute to project roadmaps, and collect feedback on the perceived quality of the IT service provided.
- Contributing to the IT department risk management by identifying, monitoring and mitigating these risks on a continuous basis.
Your profile
- You have a higher education diploma and can demonstrate an experience of several years in people and/or project management in a IT department.
- You are interested in IT technology, like to keep yourself up-to-date on the trends; you are a forward thinker, able to make links between the technology available and the added value of its potential use for business purpose, and articulate this into actionable propositions.
- You are familiar with notions of IT application and infrastructure architecture and have an extensive knowledge of and experience in at least one of the following domains, and ideally have been confronted to the others:
- Custom developed applications, in particular front/web applications
- Packages (document management, finance, CRM, ...)
- Data (ETL, modelling, reporting, data organization, ...) and artificial intelligence
- Ideally, you have an understanding of the life insurance business that equips you to understand IT development needs in Athora’s context
- You have excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language and are comfortable working in English.
- You can effectively coordinate internal and external resources and teams.
- You are an excellent communicator with developed negotiating and conflict management skills.
- You are solutions oriented and always looking for ways to do things better.
- You are well organized, able to manage priorities to face unexpected events, organize your team’s priorities and remain focused on results.
